Susie Turner

Much of my work examines human-environment relations and concepts of nature and culture. Motivated by the way in which organic and inorganic elements coexist, I am keen to explore connections between the transient state of nature and the cultural environment in which we live. I am particularly interested in nature’s part in influencing modernity and technology for example in the making and unmaking of products through the use of transient materials.

By bringing the oustide in, these works aim to draw intimate connections between humankind and nature.
